Job summary

Novant Health in Winston-Salem is seeking a Nurse Aide I to support a high-risk antepartum and postpartum/GYN unit. The role involves assisting patients with daily living activities and maintaining a safe environment under RN supervision.

This full-time position requires a high school diploma, completion of the NAI program, and basic computer skills for documentation. Weekend and holiday rotation may be involved to support patient care needs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• One year experience preferred; assisted living facilities only: one year experience in long-term care or assisted living required.
• Completion of NAI program required. Listed with the nurse aide registry as an NA I required.
• Medication Safety - AME required.
• NC state approved curricula for restrictive interventions within 3 months of hire for Emergency Departments and Behavioral Health units required.

What You'll Do

What We're Looking For

• Education: High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience: One year preferred. Assisted Living facilities only: One year experience working in long-term care or assisted living, required
• Licensure/certification/registration: Completion of NAI program required. Listed with the nurse aide registry as an NA I required. Medication Safety - AME required. NC state approved curricula for restrictive interventions (facility specific) within 3 months of hire for Emergency Departments and Behavioral Health units required.
• Additional skills preferred: Basic computer skills for documentation.
