Job summary

Novant Health in Wilmington, NC is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant for the General NICCU night shift, 7pm-7am, full-time. Join a team known for compassionate leadership, low turnover, and a supportive culture where patients and families are treated with dignity.

You will provide direct patient care, assist with daily activities, document care in the electronic health record, and collaborate with the NICCU team to deliver high-quality, safe care during the night hours.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• One year experience preferred; one year in assisted living/long-term care preferred if applicable.
• Completion of NAI program required; listed as NA I on nurse aide registry; Medication Safety - AME required.
• NC state approved curricula for restrictive interventions within 3 months of hire for ED and Behavioral Health units.

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate nurse aide care and assist with daily living activities.
• Document care and observations accurately in the patient record.
• Collaborate with NICCU team to ensure a high standard of patient safety and comfort.

What We’re Looking For

• Education: High School Diploma or GED, required.
• Experience:
  • One year preferred.
  • One year Assisted Living facilities only: experience working in long-term care or assisted living, required.
• Licensure/Certification:
  • Completion of NAI program, required.
  • Listed with the nurse aide registry as an NA I, required.

  • NC state approved curricula for restrictive interventions (facility specific) within 3 months of hire for Emergency Departments and Behavioral Health units, required.
• Additional Skills (preferred): Basic computer skills for documentation.
