Job summary

Suncrest Hospice is seeking a compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant to provide dignified care to hospice patients under nursing leadership. This role emphasizes collaboration with nurses, social workers, chaplains, and aides to meet patient needs and comfort.

We offer both full-time and part-time day opportunities with minimal on-call obligations, generous PTO, mileage reimbursement, and a strong growth path within a CHAP-certified hospice.

Qualifications

• Compassionate and committed to improving patients’ quality of life.
• Ability to work collaboratively with Nurses, Social Workers, Chaplains, Volunteers, and Aide Leadership.
• Comfortable working one-on-one with patients while being supported by a dedicated care team.
• Able to work independently and manage daily responsibilities.
• Willingness to travel with reliable transportation, a valid driver’s license, and current auto insurance.
• Current CNA certification in the state(s) of practice.

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate care to hospice patients under nursing leadership and individualized care plans.
• Collaborate with the hospice care team to meet patient needs, promote comfort and dignity.
• Report changes in patient condition and follow all policy, safety, and infection-control practices.
• Maintain compliance with company procedures and routines as part of daily responsibilities.

The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) works under the direction of the nursing leadership team to provide compassionate care to assigned hospice patients in accordance with their assessments and individualized care plans. The CNA Collaborates with the hospice care team to meet patient needs, promote comfort and dignity, and report changes in condition. The CNA follows all Company policies, procedures, safety guidelines, and infection-control practices.
