Job summary

Emerald Nursing and Rehab Columbus is seeking a compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant to join our Nursing team in Columbus, NE. You will assist residents with daily living activities, monitor vital signs, and document care in electronic health records in a collaborative clinical setting.

This full-time 6a-6p days position reports to the DON and requires current Nebraska CNA certification with prior experience preferred in a skilled nursing facility.

Qualifications

• Experience in a skilled nursing facility or similar healthcare setting preferred.
• Ability to lift and move residents and perform physical tasks of patient care.
• Current CNA certification in Nebraska is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality care and support to residents ensuring comfort, safety, and well-being.
• Assist residents with daily living activities including bathing, dressing, grooming, and personal hygiene.
• Help residents with mobility, including transferring, positioning, and ambulating safely.
• Take and record vital signs (BP, temp, pulse, respiration).
• Document all care provided and changes in residents' conditions in electronic health records.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality care and support to residents, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being
• Assist residents with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and personal hygiene
• Help residents with mobility issues, including transferring, positioning, and ambulating safely
• Take and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates
• Accurately document all care provided, changes in residents' conditions, and any other pertinent information in electronic health records
• Report any changes in residents' conditions or concerns to the nursing staff or supervisor in a timely manner
• Assist with feeding, preparing meals, and providing companionship to enhance residents' quality of life
• Follow infection control protocols and maintain a clean and safe environment for residents
• Work closely with other healthcare professionals, including nurses and physicians, to ensure cohesive and comprehensive care
