Emerald Nursing and Rehab Columbus is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant to join our Nursing department in Columbus, NE. This full-time 6a-6p role focuses on comfort, safety, and well-being of residents in a post-acute rehabilitation setting.

You will work closely with a dedicated team to provide high-quality care, assist with daily living activities, monitor vital signs, document changes, and ensure infection control protocols are followed. A Nebraska CNA certification is required.

Qualifications

  • Current CNA certification in Nebraska is required.
  • Previous experience in a skilled nursing facility or similar healthcare setting is preferred.
  • Ability to lift and move residents and perform related patient-care tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality care and support to residents, ensuring comfort, safety and well-being.
  • Assist residents with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, grooming, personal hygiene).
  • Support mobility: transferring, positioning and ambulating residents safely.
  • Take and record vital signs (BP, temperature, pulse, respiration).
  • Document all care in electronic health records and communicate changes to staff.
  • Report any changes or concerns to nursing staff promptly.
  • Assist with feeding and provide companionship to residents.
  • Follow infection control protocols and maintain a clean, safe environment.
  • Collaborate with nurses and physicians to ensure cohesive care.
