Job summary

Sweetwater Care in Huntsville, AL is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our skilled nursing facility team. You will provide routine daily care to residents, assist with ADLs, and help ensure safe, comfortable, and well‑cared‑for living environments.

The ideal candidate holds an active CNA certification, has 6 months of experience or related clinical training, and possesses current BLS/CPR certification.

Qualifications

• Active CNA certification required.
• At least 6 months of experience or clinical experience during training preferred.
• Current BLS/CPR certification (or ability to obtain).
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
• Physically and emotionally able to meet the demands of the role.

Responsibilities

• Provide routine daily care to residents in accordance with care plans and facility policies.
• Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, and mobility.
• Make routine rounds and ensure residents are safe, comfortable, and well cared for.
• Maintain clean and organized resident environments (beds, bedside tables, water pitchers, etc.).
• Verify resident identity prior to care or meal service.
• Report any changes in condition or concerns to nursing leadership.
• Collaborate with nurses and interdisciplinary team members to deliver quality care.
