Job summary

West-Haven-Healthcare in West Covina, CA seeks a compassionate Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our skilled nursing team on a part-time weekend schedule (AM, PM, and NOC). You will provide direct patient care under a licensed nurse, assist with activities of daily living, monitor vitals, and support residents to ensure dignity and comfort.

The role requires active CNA certification, completion of a CNA program, English proficiency, and good physical health.

Qualifications

• Must hold an active CNA certification and successfully complete a CNA program.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English.
• Good physical health to lift/move patients or stand long periods.

Responsibilities

• Providing personal care for residents under supervision of a licensed nurse.
• Assist with activities of daily living (dressing, bathing, grooming, dining, recreation).
• Monitor and record vital signs and report changes.
• Provide emotional support and companionship to patients.
• Ensure patient safety through proper lifting and transferring.
• Maintain a clean and organized care environment.
• Adhere to HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality service.
• Keep unit running smoothly with strong organizational skills.
• Other duties as assigned.

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Nursing Assistant to join our healthcare team.

The person doing this job is responsible for a variety of tasks that lead to a high level of customer satisfaction in the most cost-effective manner. The CNA performs age -specific direct patient care functions and ancillary duties to meet the goals of Patient Care Services.

Primary Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Responsibilities

• Providing personal care for the residents under the supervision of a licensed and/or registered nurse
• Such care includes assistance with the activities of daily living including dressing, bathing, grooming, dining, recreational activities, and outings
• Monitor and record vital signs and report any changes to the nursing staff.
• Provide emotional support and companionship to patients.
• Ensure patient safety by lifting and transferring individuals as needed.
• Maintain a clean and organized environment for patient care.
• Adhere to HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality patient service.
• Organizational skills are required to keep the unit running smoothly
• Other duties as assigned
