The Idaho Division of Veterans Services is recruiting full-time Certified Nursing Assistants to support care at the State Veterans Home in Boise. We offer 12-hour shifts with a 10% night differential and guaranteed hours for full-time staff.

Candidates must hold Idaho CNA certification or NATCEP eligibility and must pass the required competency/tests; a $1,000 recruitment bonus is available for first-time Idaho hires meeting criteria. Benefits include retirement and leave.

The Idaho Division of Veterans Services (IDVS) is recruiting for full-time Certified Nursing Assistants (CNA) to support our dedicated team of health care professionals at the State Veterans Home in Boise.

We offer 12-hour shifts and currently have openings for both shifts.

• Night shift employees receive an additional10% shift differential!
• We guarantee hours for full-time employees regardless of census!

Responsibilities:

• Performs personal nursing care for elderly residents.
• Determines resident needs and takes and records vital signs.
• Provides personal hygiene care and maintains a safe and sanitary resident-care environment.
• Lifts, positions, transports, and escorts residents and assists with walking and other body movements.
• Feeds residents who require assistance and implements individual resident treatment plans as outlined by supervisor.
• Records resident care, reporting changes in physical or mental status to health-care team.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

Certification:

Possession of Nursing Assistant Certification in Idaho and listed in good standings on the Idaho State Nurse Aide Registry

OR

Completion of a state-approved nurse aide training or competency evaluation program (NATCEP) and eligible for placement on the State Nurse Aide Registry, which requires:

• Verification of completion of a state-approved NATCEP.

AND

• Verification the skills competency test has been passed.

AND

• Verification the written test has been scheduled for placement on the CNA Registry.
