Job summary

Select Specialty Hospital - Miami is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) in Miami, FL. This PRN/Per Diem position offers 12-hour day and night shifts with compensation of $22 per hour.

As part of a team delivering inpatient post-ICU care, CNAs provide bathing, oral hygiene, mobility assistance and help maintain clean patient rooms and equipment. The role requires a high school diploma or GED, hospital CNA experience or related field, and BLS within 90 days of hire.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Hospital experience as a nursing assistant or related field preferred.
• BLS certification required within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform bathing using basin-less products and assist with oral hygiene and feeding.
• Participate in hourly rounds.
• Transport patients to treatment centers and assist movers as needed.
• Maintain cleanliness of bedpans, urinals and wheelchairs.
• Keep patient rooms clean and orderly.
• Maintain unit stock levels of supplies and equipment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Perform services for patients including bathing using basin‑less bath products, oral hygiene, oral feeding and care of hair
• Participate in hourly rounds
• Transport patients to and from various treatment centers when necessary, and assist transporters in moving patients in and out of stretchers and wheelchairs
• Maintain the cleanliness of various instruments and equipment such as bedpans, urinals and wheelchairs
• Keep patients’ rooms in clean and orderly condition
• Maintain unit stock levels of supplies and equipment as directed
• Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED OR relevant work experience (3+ years)
• Requires hospital experience as a nursing assistant, certification as a nursing assistant or experience in a related field (i.e. medical assistant, actively enrolled RN student)
• BLS is required within 90 days of hire
