Job summary

Select Specialty Hospital in Tallahassee, FL is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) for PRN/Per Diem daytime and nighttime 12-hour shifts. You will provide direct patient care, assist with daily activities, monitor patients, and support the care team in a fast-paced inpatient setting.

Compensation starts at $21.00 per hour with shift differential for night and weekend shifts; there is extensive orientation and opportunities for advancement in a large hospital system.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or relevant work experience.
• Requires hospital experience as a nursing assistant, certification as a nursing assistant or experience in a related field (i.e. medical assistant, actively enrolled RN student).
• BLS certification required within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Bath patients using basin-less bath products, oral hygiene, oral feeding and care of hair.
• Participate in hourly rounds.
• Transport patients to and from various treatment centers when necessary, and assist transporters in moving patients in and out of stretchers and wheelchairs.
• Maintain the cleanliness of various instruments and equipment such as bedpans, urinals and wheelchairs.
• Keep patients’ rooms in clean and orderly condition.
• Maintain unit stock levels of supplies and equipment as directed.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
