Job summary

Select Specialty Hospital in Tallahassee, FL is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) for PRN/Per Diem positions with Day and Night 12-hour shifts. Compensation starts at $21.00 per hour, with additional shift differential for night and weekend work.

The CNA will assist with bathing, oral hygiene, feeding, transport, and basic patient care, participate in hourly rounds, and help keep rooms and equipment clean.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED OR relevant work experience (3+ years)
• Requires hospital experience as a nursing assistant, certification as a nursing assistant or experience in a related field (i.e. medical assistant, actively enrolled RN student)
• BLS is required within 90 days of hire

Responsibilities

• Perform bathing using basin-less bath products, oral hygiene, oral feeding and care of hair
• Participate in hourly rounds
• Transport patients to and from various treatment centers when necessary, and assist transporters in moving patients in and out of stretchers and wheelchairs
• Maintain the cleanliness of instruments and equipment such as bedpans, urinals and wheelchairs
• Keep patients' rooms in clean and orderly condition
• Maintain unit stock levels of supplies and equipment as directed
• Performs other duties as assigned
