Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, oral care and personal hygiene.
• Help residents with mobility, transfers, repositioning, and transportation using appropriate equipment.
• Answer call lights promptly and ensure residents’ comfort, safety, and personal needs are met.
• Measure and record vital signs as directed.
• Assist with meals and hydration, record intake, and report changes in eating habits.
• Observe residents for changes in condition and notify nursing supervisor promptly.
• Maintain clean beds and living areas; change linens and clothing as needed.
• Assist with admissions, transfers, and discharges as assigned.
• Follow infection control procedures and safety protocols.
• Maintain confidential health information and document accurately.
• Report accidents and safety concerns promptly.
• Treat residents with dignity, respect, compassion and patience.
• Collaborate with nurses and facility team members to provide quality resident care.

Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) – Part-Time Hayward Gardens Post Acute | Hayward, CA Pay: $23–$26 per hour, depending on experience (DOE)

Schedule: AM Shift: Part-time/On-Call PM Shift: 1 Part-time (Saturday, Sunday) 1 Part-time (M, W, F) 1 Part-time (T, Th) 2 Part-time/On-Call NOC Shift: 2 Part-time/On-Call

What You’ll Do

As a CNA, you will provide daily nursing care and assistance in accordance with each resident’s individualized care plan and facility policies.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, oral care, and personal hygiene.
• Help residents with mobility, transfers, repositioning, and transportation using appropriate equipment.
• Answer call lights promptly and ensure residents’ comfort, safety, and personal needs are met.
• Measure and record vital signs, including temperature, pulse, and respirations, as directed.
• Assist residents with meals and hydration, record food and fluid intake, and report changes in eating habits.
• Observe residents for changes in condition, skin breakdown, injuries, or other concerns and promptly notify the nursing supervisor.
• Maintain clean, comfortable beds and living areas, changing linens and clothing as needed.
• Assist with admissions, room transfers, and discharges as assigned.
• Follow infection control procedures and established safety protocols.
• Maintain accurate documentation and protect residents’ confidential health information.
• Report accidents, incidents, suspected abuse, and safety concerns promptly.
• Treat every resident with dignity, respect, compassion, and patience.
• Collaborate with nurses and other facility team members to provide quality resident care.

Qualifications

• Current and valid California Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification.
