Job summary

Select Specialty Hospital in Daytona Beach is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) for a full-time night shift (7pm–7am). You will assist with bathing, oral hygiene, feeding, and hair care, and participate in hourly rounds to ensure patient comfort and safety.

Responsibilities include patient transport, helping move patients using stretchers and wheelchairs, room and equipment sanitation, and stocking supplies. BLS required within 90 days; CNA certification preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED accepted with relevant experience.
• CNA certification and BLS certification within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Bathing patients and personal care using basin-less methods.
• Assist with oral hygiene and feeding.
• Care for patient hair and grooming.
• Participate in hourly rounds.
• Transport patients to treatment centers and assist in moving them on stretchers and wheelchairs.
• Maintain cleanliness of rooms and care equipment.
• Stock and organize unit supplies.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Maintain the cleanliness of various instruments and equipment such as bedpans, urinals and wheelchairs

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED OR relevant work experience (3+ years)
• BLS is required within 90 days of hire
• Hospital experience as a nursing assistant, certification as a nursing assistant or experience in a related field (i.e. medical assistant, actively enrolled RN student)
