Job summary

PAM Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Aiken is hiring a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to provide direct patient care under the supervision of a nurse. The role emphasizes safety, comfort, and compassionate support in a brand-new rehab setting.

The CNA will assist with activities of daily living, document care, and participate in a team focused on patient recovery. Competitive benefits are available for full-time staff.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• CNA certification required where state law dictates.
• Current BLS certification required.
• Experience: none required. Two to three years in an acute or rehab hospital preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care under supervision of a Registered Nurse or LVN/LPN.
• Perform basic activities of daily living and comfort measures.
• Assist with transfers and mobility as directed and per policy.
• Maintain patient safety and confidentiality.

The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) is responsible for performing various patient care activities and accommodative services under the general supervision of a Registered or Licensed Vocational/Practical Nurse. Performs patient care activities within the limits of the position. Does not administer medications or therapy. Does not assume independent responsibility for patient care. Job duties are accomplished in a manner consistent with the policies, procedures and guidelines of PAM Health. Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.

• Education and Training: High school graduate or equivalent preferred. Certification as a nursing assistant (CNA) where required by state where the hospital resides. Current BLS certification is required.


• Experience: None required. A minimum of two (2) to three (3) years of experience in an acute hospital, rehabilitation hospital, or skilled nursing unit is preferred.
