Job summary

PAM Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Aiken is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to provide compassionate patient care under the supervision of RNs or LPNs. You will assist with daily activities and support therapies as directed, while following hospital policies.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, CNA certification as required by state, and current BLS. Experience is optional, though 2–3 years in acute care or rehab is preferred.

Qualifications

• Certification as a nursing assistant (CNA) as required by state.
• Current BLS certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care activities under the general supervision of a Registered or Licensed Vocational/Practical Nurse.

The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) is responsible for performing various patient care activities and accommodative services under the general supervision of a Registered or Licensed Vocational/Practical Nurse. Performs patient care activities within the limits of the position. Does not administer medications or therapy. Does not assume independent responsibility for patient care. Job duties are accomplished in a manner consistent with the policies, procedures and guidelines of PAM Health. Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.

• Education and Training: High school graduate or equivalent preferred. Certification as a nursing assistant (CNA) where required by state where the hospital resides. Current BLS certification is required.
• Experience: None required. A minimum of two (2) to three (3) years of experience in an acute hospital, rehabilitation hospital, or skilled nursing unit is preferred.
