Job summary

St. Joseph's Living Center is hiring a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to support residents with daily living activities and essential care. The role involves assisting with ADLs, monitoring health indicators, and providing compassionate, respectful service to promote residents’ dignity and independence.

Shifts include 7:00AM–3:00PM or 3:00PM–11:00PM with rotation of weekends/holidays. A $2,000 sign-on bonus and shift differentials apply; CT CNA certification required.

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in good standing with CT state registry.
• Ability to communicate fluently in English – both verbally and written

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and feeding to promote dignity and independence.
• Monitor and record vital signs, intake/output, and observe and report changes to nursing staff promptly.
• Provide basic patient care under the direction of licensed nurses, including repositioning, transferring, and assisting with mobility to prevent falls and pressure injuries.
• Support residents' quality of life by fostering a positive, respectful environment and encouraging engagement in meaningful daily activities.
• Maintain a clean, safe environment by following infection control protocols, responding to call lights, and ensuring residents' comfort and safety.

$21.00 - $24.50/hour, based on experience
Shift Differentials: $2.00/hour - evenings, $1.00/hour - All weekend shifts
$2,000 Sign-On Bonus!
