Job summary

MediLodge of Tawas City is hiring Certified Nursing Assistants to join a patient-centered team. The CNA performs basic nursing duties and assists residents with daily living activities under supervision, contributing to high-quality care and meaningful resident experiences.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Valid CNA certification in the state of employment.
• Six months experience in a long-term care environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic nursing assistance and help residents with activities of daily living.
• Assist residents with grooming, hygiene, bathing, and incontinence care.
• Take and record vital signs and report changes to the supervising nurse.
• Answer signal lights and respond to resident needs promptly.
• Assist with feeding and mobility as directed by care plans.

• Starting Wages at $22.40-$29.97 per Hour

Summary

The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) under supervision, provides basic nursing assistance and assists residents with daily living activities.

Qualifications

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Licenses/Certification

• Valid certification as a CNA in the state of employment.

Experience

• Six months experience in a long-term care environment preferred.

Job Functions

• Answers signal lights and bells to determine resident needs.
• Assists residents with grooming, oral hygiene, bathing, hair, and incontinence care.
• Obtains food trays and assists residents with feeding.
• Assists residents with range of motion exercises, and movement to wheelchair or activity areas.
• Assists resident with turning and positioning in bed.,
• Assists resident with ambulation for short distance in facility.
• Takes and records temperature, blood pressure, pulse and respiration rates, and food and fluid intake and output, as directed.
• Performs other tasks as assigned.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

• Ability to react decisively and quickly in emergency situations.
• Ability to communicate effectively with residents and their family members, and facility staff.
