Job summary

MediLodge Leelanau is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to provide basic nursing support under supervision and assist residents with daily living activities. You will contribute to a compassionate, patient-centered environment, ensuring comfort and safety throughout shifts.

The role requires a valid CNA in Michigan, a high school diploma or equivalent, and typically involves six months of LTC experience. Wages start at market rates with opportunities for growth and benefits.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Licenses/Certification: Valid CNA certification in state of employment.
• Experience: Six months in long-term care preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with daily living activities such as grooming, bathing, and hygiene.
• Take vital signs and monitor resident health per policy.
• Assist with feeding, mobility, and positioning in bed or wheelchair.
• Respond to call lights and resident needs in a timely manner.
• Document care provided and report changes to supervisors.

Compensation?

• Starting Wages at $26.40-$34.79 per hour

Summary

The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) under supervision, provides basic nursing assistance and assists residents with daily living activities.

Qualifications

Education:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Licenses/Certification:

• Valid certification as a CNA in the state of employment.

Experience:

• Six months experience in a long‑term care environment preferred.

Job Functions:

• Answers signal lights and bells to determine resident needs.
• Assists residents with grooming, oral hygiene, bathing, hair, and incontinence care.
• Obtains food trays and assists residents with feeding.
• Assists residents with range of motion exercises, and movement to wheelchair or activity areas.
• Assists resident with turning and positioning in bed.
• Assists resident with ambulation for short distance in facility.
• Takes and records temperature, blood pressure, pulse and respiration rates, and food and fluid intake and output, as directed.
• Performs other tasks as assigned.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

• Ability to react decisively and quickly in emergency situations.
• Ability to communicate effectively with residents and their family members, and facility staff.
