Job summary

Visiting Angels of Reading is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant - CNA to support clients in Berks County and northern Chester County. We offer part-time and full-time positions with day, evening, and overnight shifts and a local patient focus.

Applicants must have a high school diploma and at least 6 months of experience with seniors or disabled adults. Reliable transportation is required and CNA experience is a plus but not mandatory.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 6 months caring for seniors or disabled adults.
• Reliable transportation is required.
• Reliability and professionalism are important.
• Must enjoy assisting others.
• Experience with dementia/alzheimer's is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with personal care (oral care, bathing, toileting, dressing, grooming).
• Provide medication reminders as needed.
• Light housekeeping (laundry, dishes, vacuuming).
• Plan, prepare and serve meals.
• Assist with transfers, walking and activity.
• Provide transportation to appointments and errands.
• Offer companionship and cheerful support.

Certified Nursing Assistant - CNA responsibilities may include:
