Job summary

Visiting Angels is seeking a Home Health Aide (HHA) to work in and around Berks/Northern Chester County, PA. We offer day, evening, overnight shifts, with both part-time and full-time positions available.

Applicants must have a high school diploma or equivalent, at least 6 months of care experience, reliable transportation, and a passion for assisting others. Dementia/Alzheimer's experience is a plus, CNA a plus but not required. References and background checks are performed.

Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 6 months experience caring for seniors or disabled adults.
• Reliable transportation is a must.
• Reliability and professionalism are very important.
• Must enjoy assisting in the needs of others.
• Dementia/Alzheimer's experience is a plus.
• CNA is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Assisting clients with personal care services such as oral care, bathing, toileting, dressing, and grooming
• Medication reminders
• Light housekeeping including laundry, dishes and vacuuming
• Planning, preparing and serving meals
• Assistance with transfers, walking and physical activity
• Assistance with transportation to appointments, activities, errands, and shopping
• Providing companionship and cheerful, positive assistance at all times
