Job summary

Visiting Angels Reading is seeking a Full Time Caregiver to assist seniors in Berks and Northern Chester County. We offer day, evening, and overnight shifts, with flexible scheduling and a supportive team.

Applicants must have a high school diploma or equivalent and at least 6 months of caregiving experience. Reliable transportation is required, and dementia experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 6 months experience caring for seniors and/or disabled adults.
• Reliable transportation is a must.
• Reliability and professionalism are very important.
• Must enjoy assisting in the needs of others.
• Dementia/Alzheimer's experience a plus.
• CNA a plus, not a requirement.

Responsibilities

• Assisting clients with personal care services (oral care, bathing, toileting, dressing, grooming).
• Medication reminders.
• Light housekeeping (laundry, dishes, vacuuming).
• Planning, preparing and serving meals.
• Assistance with transfers, walking and physical activity.
• Assistance with transportation to appointments, errands, and shopping.
• Providing companionship and cheerful assistance at all times.
