Job summary

Visiting Angels of Reading is seeking a Caregiver to serve Berks and Northern Chester County. Part-time and full-time positions are available with day, evening, and overnight shifts.

You will assist seniors with personal care, meals, light housekeeping, and companionship, in a supportive home-care environment. Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent, 6 months of caregiving experience, reliable transportation, and a genuine desire to help others.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 6 months experience caring for seniors or disabled adults.
• Reliable transportation is a must.
• Reliability and professionalism are very important.
• Must enjoy assisting others; dementia experience is a plus.
• CNA is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with personal care: oral care, bathing, toileting, dressing, grooming.
• Provide medication reminders.
• Light housekeeping: laundry, dishes, vacuuming.
• Plan, prepare and serve meals.
• Assist with transfers, walking and activity.
• Transport to appointments, activities, errands and shopping.
• Provide companionship and positive support.

Visiting Angels of Reading is currently looking for a Caregiver to work in and around Berks and Northern Chester County. We serve the local area including and many others. Part-time and full-time positions available. We have day, evening, and overnight shifts available.

Applicants MUST have

• MUST have high school diploma or equivalent
• MINIMUM of 6 months experience in caring for Seniors and/or Disabled Adults professionally or personally.
• Reliable transportation is a MUST.
• Reliability and Professionalism are very important.
• MUST enjoy assisting in the needs of others.
• Dementia/Alzheimer's experience a plus.
• CNA a plus Not a requirement.

References and background checks will be performed. We promote a drug-free environment.

Caregiver responsibilities may include:

• Assisting clients with personal care services such as oral care, bathing, toileting, dressing, and grooming
• Medication reminders
• Light housekeeping including laundry, dishes and vacuuming
