Job summary

Excelcare Lewes is seeking a compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our care team. You will provide hands-on support to residents, helping with daily tasks while maintaining comfort, dignity, and safety.

We value dependable, patient-centered care, strong teamwork, and clear communication. New hires must hold an active CNA certification and be prepared to work in a long-term care setting on site in Lewes, Delaware.

Qualifications

• Current CNA certification/license
• Experience in long-term care, skilled nursing, or healthcare setting preferred
• Compassionate, dependable, and professional approach to resident care
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to provide safe, respectful, and patient-centered care

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), including meals, hydration, turning, repositioning, and ambulation
• Provide personal hygiene and comfort care
• Assist residents with feeding and nutritional supplements
• Monitor residents and report changes or concerns to nursing staff
• Document food and fluid intake and care provided
• Help maintain clean, safe, and comfortable resident living areas
• Transport residents throughout the facility as needed
• Support nurses and other care team members with resident needs
• Follow facility policies, professional standards, and state and federal regulations
• Protect resident privacy and maintain confidentiality at all times
