Job summary

ExcelCare At Wayne is seeking a compassionate and dependable Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our care team. You will provide hands-on care to residents, assist with activities of daily living, and help maintain comfort, dignity, and safety in a long-term care setting.

The role requires a current CNA certification and prior experience in long-term care or healthcare. You will work closely with nurses, document care provided, and ensure privacy and respectful, patient-centered care.

Qualifications

• Current CNA certification/license in the state of Delaware.
• Previous experience in long-term care, skilled nursing, or healthcare preferred.
• Compassionate, dependable, and professional approach to resident care.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to provide safe, respectful, and patient-centered care.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), including meals, hydration, turning, repositioning, and ambulation
• Provide personal hygiene and comfort care
• Assist residents with feeding and nutritional supplements
• Monitor residents and report changes or concerns to nursing staff
• Document food and fluid intake and care provided
• Help maintain clean, safe, and comfortable resident living areas
• Transport residents throughout the facility as needed
• Support nurses and other members of the care team with resident needs
• Follow facility policies, professional standards, and state and federal regulations
• Protect resident privacy and maintain confidentiality at all times
