Job summary

ClearView Healthcare Management is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) for a full-time, day shift in a long-term care facility in Jamestown, KY. You will attend to residents' needs, including bathing, feeding, dressing, and ambulation, while recording vitals and communicating with the nursing team.

Requirements include graduation from an accredited CNA program, current state CNA certification, and prior LTC experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Must be graduate of an accredited Certified Nursing Aide program.
• Must possess and maintain current state CNA certification.
• One year of Long-Term Care experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Attend to residents' daily needs including bathing, feeding, and ambulation.
• Record and monitor vital signs and report changes to nursing staff.
• Assist with transferring residents using proper body mechanics.
• Communicate effectively with residents, families, and staff.
• Report abnormal changes to nursing staff.

Job description

Salary: $15.00 - $16.50 per hour (Based on shift & experience)

CNAs are responsible for the following:

• Attend to the individual needs of residents, including bathing, feeding, dressing, and ambulating.
• Responsible for taking and recording patient vital signs lifting, moving and transporting residents, using proper body mechanics.
• Recognizing and reporting changes in resident conditions to a nurse management. Asking appropriate questions to clarify situations.
• Communicate and interact effectively and tactfully with the residents, visitors, families, peers and supervisors.
• Reporting abnormal changes or patterns to nursing staff.
• Demonstrating the ability to assist the nurse with various duties as directed.

CNA Requirements:

• At least one year of experience as a CNA in a Long Term Care setting is highly preferred.
• Must be a graduate of an accredited Certified Nursing Aide Assistant program.
• Must possess and maintain a current state certification as a CNA
• Knowledge of MatrixCare preferred.
