Job summary

Fairoakshr in Kentucky is seeking a dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) for full-time day shifts. You will support residents with daily activities, monitor vital signs, and report changes to nursing staff to ensure high-quality care.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Attend to residents' daily needs including bathing, feeding, dressing, and ambulating.
• Record vital signs and assist with lifting and transporting residents.
• Identify and report changes in resident condition to a nurse manager.
• Communicate effectively with residents, families, peers and supervisors.
• Report abnormal changes or patterns to nursing staff.
• Assist the nurse with duties as directed.

Salary: $15.00 - $16.50 per hour (Based on shift & experience)

CNAs are responsible for the following:

• Attend to the individual needs of residents, including bathing, feeding, dressing, and ambulating.
• Responsible for taking and recording patient vital signs, lifting, moving and transporting residents, using proper body mechanics.
• Recognizing and reporting changes in resident conditions to a nurse manager. Asking appropriate questions to clarify situations.
• Communicate and interact effectively and tactfully with the residents, visitors, families, peers and supervisors.
• Reporting abnormal changes or patterns to nursing staff.
• Demonstrating the ability to assist the nurse with various duties as directed.

CNA Requirements:

• At least one year of experience as a CNA in a Long Term Care setting is highly preferred.
• Must be a graduate of an accredited Certified Nursing Aide Assistant program.
• Must possess and maintain a current state certification as a CNA.
• Knowledge of MatrixCare preferred.
