Job summary

Edgerton Care Center is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to provide direct patient/resident care under the supervision of the licensed nurse. The CNA will perform assigned tasks to ensure timely, safe care and will communicate with patients, residents, families and the health team as an essential part of the role.

• Must be English literate with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Must be in good standing on the State Nursing Assistant registry or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Performs initial and ongoing data collection on all patients/residents under the direction of the RN/LPN.
• Implements plan of care developed by the RN based on patient/resident needs.
• Provides direct patient/resident care and reports condition and changes to RN/LPN.
• Demonstrates time management and prioritization of tasks.
• Documents results of patient/resident care within policies and scope of practice.
• Supports nutritional care and communicates effectively with residents and families.
• Completes all other duties as assigned.

Job Summary: The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) will provide patient/resident care as required under the direct supervision of the licensed nurse. The CNA at Edgerton Care Center completes assigned tasks to ensure timely, efficient and safe patient/resident care. Communication and interactions with patients, residents, families and other health team members is an essential component of this position.

Compensation:

• CNA base hourly wage: $19.00 – $22.28 per hour dependent on experience
• PLUS shift differentials - $2.00 per hour PM shift and $2.50 per hour NOC shift

Key Responsibilities:

• Performs initial and ongoing data collection on all patients/residents under the direction of the Registered Nurse/Licensed Practical Nurse.
• Implements plan of care developed by the Registered Nurse based on patient/resident physical, psychosocial, cultural, ethnic and religious/spiritual needs.
• Provides direct patient/resident care and reports condition and changes to RN or LPN.
• Demonstrates time management and prioritization of tasks.
• Document results of patient/resident care within established policies, procedures and scope of practice.

• Completes all other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Required:

• Must be in good standing on the State Nursing Assistant registry or appropriate entity
• Ability to meet physical and job-related requirements
• Must be English literate and possess excellent written and verbal communication skills

Preferred:

• Previous hospital or long-term care or skilled nursing experience
• CPR Certified
