Job summary

Regency Pacific Management is seeking a dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant to provide compassionate resident care and uphold dignity, rights, and individual preferences. You will help residents maintain their highest practical well-being through attentive, personalized care.

You will follow care plans, assist with grooming, feeding, mobility, and documentation, while following safety and infection-control procedures.

Qualifications

  • Possess a CNA certification in the state of employment.
  • Ability to obtain CPR/BLS.
  • Commitment to resident rights, dignity and individual needs.

Responsibilities

  • Follow individualized care plans and report changes to staff.
  • Assist residents with grooming, bathing, toileting, feeding, mobility and transfers.
  • Maintain skin integrity and prevent pressure ulcers through turning and proper skin care.
  • Protect residents' belongings and report missing items per policy.
  • Take vital signs, monitor weights, apply ointments, and assist with transfers.
  • Document care in accordance with department policies.

Job description

As a CNA, you provide quality nursing care and promote resident rights, dignity, freedom of choice, and individuality. You also provide individualized attention and encourage residents to maintain or attain their highest practical physical, mental, and psychosocial well-being.

You Will
  • Ensure individualized care plans are followed and provide care planning staff with specific information, changes, and observations of the residents' needs and preferences.
  • Attend to the resident's needs, including; grooming, bathing, oral hygiene, feeding, incontinent care, toileting, colostomy care, prosthetic appliances, transferring, ambulation, range of motion, communication, in keeping with the individuals' care requirements
  • Maintain each resident's skin integrity to prevent pressure ulcers, skin tears, and other damage by changing incontinent residents, turning, repositioning immobile residents, and applying moisturizers to fragile skin.
  • Protect the personal belongings of each resident and promptly report missing items according to established policy.
  • Take vital signs, residents' weights, apply creams/ointments, collect specimens, lift, move, and transport residents, using proper body mechanics or lifting devices to prevent accidents.
  • Document care in keeping with department policies
  • Follow prescribed safety and infection control procedures.
  • Communicate and interact tactfully with the residents, visitors, families, peers, and supervisors.
You Currently
  • Possess a CNA certification in the state of employment.
  • Have the ability to obtain CPR/BLS card.
