UCI Health is seeking a Nursing Assistant to support professional nursing staff and provide essential patient care. The role includes taking vital signs, assisting with hygiene and mobility, and maintaining a clean, safe unit environment under supervision.

Responsibilities include assisting with ADLs, transfers, specimen collection, and basic clerical tasks. Requirements include CNA or enrolled nursing student status, current BLS, and ability to work weekends/holidays.

Qualifications

• Understanding of basic medical terminology.
• Must be able to read, write and speak effectively in English.
• Must be able to work weekends and holidays.
• Nursing Assistants hired prior to May 2010 who did not possess CNA certification are not required to obtain it.
• Demonstrates the ability to communicate effectively in a therapeutic way.
• Current BLS certification issued by the AHA.

Responsabilités

• Take and record vital signs and document accurately.
• Assist RN with patient care activities and ADLs.
• Assist with hygiene, elimination, and keeping a clean, safe unit environment.
• Operate hospital equipment as directed and help with stocking supplies.
• Perform routine clerical tasks and other duties as assigned.
