Job summary

UCI Health’s Nursing Assistant role involves supporting professional nursing staff to provide compassionate patient care. You will take vital signs, assist with hygiene and elimination, and maintain a clean, safe unit environment.

You will also help stock unit supplies, operate hospital equipment as directed, and perform routine clerical tasks to support daily operations. Strong English skills, BLS, and a CNA/LVN or progress toward one are required.

Qualifications

• Understanding of basic medical terminology.
• Must be able to read, write and speak effectively in English.
• Certified Nursing Assistant or Licensed Vocational Nurse, or enrolled in accredited nursing program with completion of at least 1 clinical semester.
• Current BLS certification (issued by the AHA).
• Ability to work weekends and holidays.

• Takes and records vital signs and assists with patient care activities.
