Boston Medical Center (BMC) is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Magnet®-recognized organization and contribute to delivering exceptional and equitable care. The role involves direct patient care in a busy hospital setting with 32 hours per week, evenings, and every other weekend (3pm-11pm) at BMC South.

Under supervision, you will address patient needs across all ages, communicate effectively, and uphold patient rights and confidentiality.

Position Summary:

Under the direct supervision of the Registered Nurse assigned, performs a variety of direct patient care activities in caring for the personal needs and comforts of the patient.Provides care that addresses the specific needs of age groups from infant to elderly as well as accommodating a variety of needs specific to impairments such as hearing, sight, substance abuse, language barriers, and potential victims of abuse.Incorporates knowledge and understanding of our commitment to patient rights, exceptional care and the hospital’s values and mission into his/her performance of job duties.Maintains patient privacy and confidentiality at all times.

Required Knowledge & Skills:

Education: High school diploma or equivalent is required.

Experience: Experience as a nursing assistant strongly preferred

Certification/Licensure: Must possess a valid Massachusetts Certified Nursing Assistant license or show proof of enrollment in accredited nursing school and completion of the courses “Fundamentals of Nursing I & II.”

Must possess a BLS from American Heart Association

Software/Hardware: Computer experience is preferred

Compensation Range:

$17.50- $26.00

This range offers an estimate based on the minimum job qualifications. However, our approach to determining base pay is comprehensive, and a broad range of factors is considered when making an offer. This includes education, experience, and licensure/certifications directly related to position requirements.
