Job summary

Ascension in Washington, DC is seeking a Nurse Aide for a full-time Evening shift in the Skilled Nursing department. You will assist with procedures under an RN, help residents with daily living and transfers, and report changes to the nursing team.

The role emphasizes patient safety and clean, orderly rooms in a compassionate care setting. Minimum requirements include Nurse Aide certification and a high school diploma or GED.

Qualifications

• Nurse Aide obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
• BLS Provider preferred.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with procedures ordered by physician and supervised by a Registered Nurse (RN).
• Assist patients with tending to personal care, activities of daily living and transfers/transport.
• Report findings or changes in physical, mental and emotional conditions to nursing staff.
• Assist with keeping patient rooms clean and orderly. Assure resident safety by identifying safety hazards and emergency situations and initiates corrective action as appropriate.
