Job summary

Healthcare Staffing Professionals has an immediate need for a Certified Nursing Assistant to work in a correctional setting located in Phoenix, AZ. You will perform duties within the scope of practice to ensure quality patient care, under the direct supervision of medical or nursing personnel. Completes required documentation in the electronic health record or other modality.

Location: Phoenix, AZ. Pay rate: $21/hr. Shift: Day & NIGHT - 3x12-hour shifts weekly for at least 13 weeks.

Qualifications

• Current, valid, unrestricted CNA license issued by AZ Board or a participating Compact State.
• PSV (NCSBN) completed and current.
• N95 respirator fit testing completed and current.
• First Aid Certification completed and current.
• Minimum one year of CNA experience in a clinical setting.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care under supervision of medical/nursing staff.
• Complete documentation in the EHR or other modality.
• Prepare patients for examinations and treatments; take histories and vital signs; record chief complaints.
• Perform venipunctures and basic lab tests as directed.
• Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs).
• Transcribe provider orders and schedule follow-up appointments.

Maintains adequate supplies for exam/procedure rooms. Transcribes provider orders and schedules return appointments. Performs venipunctures and lab tests. Assists patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs).

Shift

Day & NIGHT - Must commit to 3x12-hour shifts weekly for a minimum of 13 weeks.

Requirements

Copy of current, valid, unrestricted license as a CNA issued by the Arizona State Board of Nursing -OR- issued by a participating Compact State.

• Copy of current, completed PSV from the National Council of State Boards of Nursing
• Copy of current, completed fit testing for N95 particulate respirators.
• Copy of current, completed First Aid Certification.
• Minimum one year of past work experience in this position.
