Job summary

Emerald Nursing & Rehab Cozad is seeking a dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our nursing team in Cozad, Nebraska. The role focuses on compassionate resident care, helping with daily living activities, monitoring vital signs, and supporting safety and comfort in a warm, patient-centered environment.

Shifts are 6a-6p or 6p-6a with rotating weekends. A Nebraska CNA certification is required, and prior SNF experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Nebraska CNA certification is required.
• Experience in a skilled nursing facility preferred.
• Physical ability to lift/move residents.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with daily living activities including bathing, dressing, grooming, and personal hygiene.
• Help residents with mobility issues, including transferring, positioning, and ambulating safely.
• Take and record vital signs such as blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates.
• Accurately document all care provided and changes in residents’ conditions in electronic health records.
• Report any changes in residents’ conditions or concerns to the nursing staff or supervisor in a timely manner.
• Assist with feeding, preparing meals, and providing companionship to enhance residents’ quality of life.
• Follow infection control protocols and maintain a clean and safe environment for residents.
• Work closely with other healthcare professionals to ensure cohesive and comprehensive care.
