Job summary

Emerald Nursing & Rehab Brookside in Lincoln, NE is seeking a dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant to join our skilled nursing team. You will provide high-quality resident care, assist with daily living activities, and contribute to a safe, comfortable environment.

This full-time position covers 6am-2:30pm or 2pm-10:30pm with every other weekend, plus PRN hours. Nebraska CNA certification is required and prior experience in a skilled facility is preferred.

Qualifications

• Nebraska CNA certification required.
• Experience in skilled nursing facility preferred.
• Ability to lift/move residents.
• Strong communication with residents and staff.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with daily living activities including bathing, dressing, grooming.
• Help with mobility including transferring and ambulating.
• Take and record vital signs.
• Document care and changes in residents' conditions in electronic health records.
• Report changes to nursing staff promptly.
• Assist with feeding, meal prep, and companionship.
• Follow infection control protocols.
• Collaborate with nurses and physicians to provide cohesive care.

Job Title: Certified Nursing Assistant

Reports to: Director of Nursing

Position Type: FT 6a-230p & 2p-1030p with every other weekend. Also PRN varied hours available.

Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) to join our skilled nursing facility team. In this role, you will provide high-quality care and support to residents, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being.

Responsibilities

• Resident Care: Assist residents with daily living activities including bathing, dressing, grooming, and personal hygiene.
• Mobility Assistance: Help residents with mobility issues, including transferring, positioning, and ambulating safely.
• Vital Signs Monitoring: Take and record vital signs such as blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates.
• Documentation: Accurately document all care provided, changes in residents’ conditions, and any other pertinent information in electronic health records.
• Communication: Report any changes in residents’ conditions or concerns to the nursing staff or supervisor in a timely manner.
• Supportive Tasks: Assist with feeding, preparing meals, and providing companionship to enhance residents’ quality of life.
• Infection Control: Follow infection control protocols and maintain a clean and safe environment for residents.
• Team Collaboration: Work closely with other healthcare professionals, including nurses and physicians, to ensure cohesive and comprehensive care.

Qualifications

• Experience: Previous experience in a skilled nursing facility or similar healthcare setting preferred. Physical Requirements: Ability to lift and move residents, as well as perform physical tasks associated with patient care.
