Job summary

The Emerald Nursing & Rehab Mercy is seeking a dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our Nursing department. In this role, you will provide compassionate resident care, assist with daily living activities, and support the healthcare team in a clinical setting.

Full-Time or PRN positions are available with varied shifts (6am-2pm, 2pm-10pm, 6am-10pm on weekends, and 10pm-6am rotation). Expect patient safety, documentation, and collaboration with nurses to maintain residents' comfort

Qualifications

  • Nebraska CNA certification required.
  • Experience in skilled nursing preferred.
  • Ability to lift and move residents.

Responsibilities

  • Resident Care: Assist residents with daily living activities including bathing, dressing, grooming, and personal hygiene.
  • Mobility Assistance: Help residents with mobility issues, including transferring, positioning, and ambulating safely.
  • Vital Signs Monitoring: Take and record vital signs such as blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates.
  • Documentation: Accurately document all care provided, changes in residents’ conditions, and any other pertinent information in electronic health records.
  • Communication: Report any changes in residents’ conditions or concerns to the nursing staff or supervisor in a timely manner.
  • Supportive Tasks: Assist with feeding, preparing meals, and providing companionship to enhance residents’ quality of life.
  • Infection Control: Follow infection control protocols and maintain a clean and safe environment for residents.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with other healthcare professionals, including nurses and physicians, to ensure cohesive and comprehensive care.

Reports to: DON

Position Type: Full-Time or PRN

Shifts Open:

-6am-2pm Monday-Friday

-2pm-10pm Monday-Friday

-6am-10pm Doubles every Saturday and Sunday (Baylor incentive)

-10pm-6am, Four Nights on and Two Night off rotation

-PRN as needed also available.
