Emerald Nursing & Rehab Mercy in Omaha is seeking a dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our nursing team. You will assist residents with daily living activities, monitor vital signs, document care, and support a safe, compassionate environment.

We offer full-time or PRN shifts including day, evening, and night rotations. Experience in a skilled nursing facility is preferred; Nebraska CNA certification is required. Join our caring staff and contribute to residents’ well-being.

Qualifications

• Current Nebraska CNA certification required.

• Ability to lift and assist residents; physical stamina required.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with bathing, dressing, grooming and personal hygiene.
• Help residents with mobility, transfers, and ambulation.
• Take and record vital signs, including BP, pulse, temperature, and respiration.
• Document care and changes in residents’ conditions in electronic records.
• Communicate changes to nursing staff promptly.
• Assist with feeding, meals, and provide companionship.
• Follow infection control protocols and maintain a safe environment.
• Collaborate with nurses and physicians to ensure quality care.

• 6am-2pm Monday-Friday
• 2pm-10pm Monday-Friday
• 6am-10pm Doubles every Saturday and Sunday (Baylor incentive)
• 10pm-6am, Four Nights on and Two Night off rotation
• PRN as needed also available.

Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) to join our skilled nursing facility team. In this role, you will provide high-quality care and support to residents, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being.

Work Environment:

This position operates in a clinical healthcare environment.

Responsibilities:

• Resident Care: Assist residents with daily living activities including bathing, dressing, grooming, and personal hygiene.
• Mobility Assistance: Help residents with mobility issues, including transferring, positioning, and ambulating safely.
• Vital Signs Monitoring: Take and record vital signs such as blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates.
• Documentation: Accurately document all care provided, changes in residents’ conditions, and any other pertinent information in electronic health records.
• Communication: Report any changes in residents’ conditions or concerns to the nursing staff or supervisor in a timely manner.
• Supportive Tasks: Assist with feeding, preparing meals, and providing companionship to enhance residents’ quality of life.
• Infection Control: Follow infection control protocols and maintain a clean and safe environment for residents.
• Team Collaboration: Work closely with other healthcare professionals, including nurses and physicians, to ensure cohesive and comprehensive care.

Qualifications:

• Experience: Previous experience in a skilled nursing facility or similar healthcare setting preferred.
• Physical Requirements: Ability to lift and move residents, as well as perform physical tasks associated with patient care.
• Certifications: Current CNA certification in Nebraska required.
