Job summary

Windsor Nursing and Rehabilitation Center of Edinburg is seeking a Certified Nurse Aide to provide routine daily nursing care in accordance with resident assessments and care plans.

Responsibilities include assisting with bathing, feeding, dressing and mobility, recording vital signs, and reporting changes to the Charge Nurse. A CNA license is required, and prior long-term care experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Must hold valid Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) license.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience in a long-term care facility preferred.
• Must be at least 16 years of age.

Primary Responsibilities

The Certified Nurse Aide will provide assigned residents with routine daily nursing care and services in accordance with the resident assessments and care plans.

Essential Functions

• Assist resident in customary daily requirements and tasks in care and treatment such as bathing, feeding, dressing, observing intake of food, care of hair, nails, moving residents from area to area, responding to calls
• Carry out duties and responsibilities in accordance with resident care policy and procedure
• Measure and record vital signs as assigned by Charge Nurse
• Detect and report situations that may cause resident accidents or injuries
• Contributes knowledge of resident’s conditions/needs to resident care plans
• Observe and report symptoms, reactions, and changes of conditions to residents to Charge Nurse

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred but to required

Licensing Requirements
