Job summary

Elgin Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Elgin, TX seeks a Certified Nurse Aide to provide routine daily nursing care and services to residents in accordance with care plans.

The 2pm-10pm shift requires compassion and attention to safety, including bathing, feeding, dressing, monitoring vital signs, and reporting changes to the Charge Nurse.

Qualified candidates must hold a CNA license and a high school diploma; long-term care experience is preferred and applicants must be at least 16 years old.

Qualifications

• Must hold valid Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) license.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with daily living activities including bathing, feeding, and dressing.
• Observe intake of food and overall condition; move residents as needed.
• Measure and record vital signs as directed by Charge Nurse.
• Detect and report situations that may cause accidents or injuries.
• Contribute knowledge of resident conditions to care plans.
• Observe and report symptoms or changes to residents to Charge Nurse.

The Certified Nurse Aide will provide assigned residents with routine daily nursing care and services in accordance with the resident assessments and care plans.

Essential Functions

• Assist resident in customary daily requirements and tasks in care and treatment such as bathing, feeding, dressing, observing intake of food, care of hair, nails, moving residents from area to area, responding to calls
• Carry out duties and responsibilities in accordance with resident care policy and procedure
• Measure and record vital signs as assigned by Charge Nurse
• Detect and report situations that may cause resident accidents or injuries
• Contributes knowledge of resident’s conditions/needs to resident care plans
• Observe and report symptoms, reactions, and changes of conditions to residents to Charge Nurse

Qualifications: Educational/Training Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred but to required

Licensing Requirements

• Must hold valid Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) license

Experience Requirements

• Experience in a long-term care facility is preferred
• Must be at least 16 years of age
