Primary Responsibilities

The Certified Nurse Aide will provide assigned residents with routine daily nursing care and services in accordance with the resident assessments and care plans.

Essential Functions

• Assist residents in customary daily requirements and tasks including bathing, feeding, dressing, observing intake of food, caring for hair and nails, moving residents from area to area, responding to calls.
• Carry out duties and responsibilities in accordance with resident care policy and procedure.
• Measure and record vital signs as assigned by Charge Nurse.
• Detect and report situations that may cause resident accidents or injuries.
• Contribute knowledge of resident’s conditions and needs to resident care plans.
• Observe and report symptoms, reactions, and changes in conditions to Charge Nurse.

Qualifications

Educational/Training Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred but not required.

Licensing Requirements

• Must hold a valid Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) license.

Experience Requirements

• Experience in a long‑term care facility is preferred.
• Must be at least 16 years of age.
