Job summary

Bedford Care Centers is seeking a dedicated CNA to provide direct care to long-term care residents, with emphasis on activities of daily living to promote well-being, comfort and safety.

The role includes assisting with admissions, transfers and discharges, coordinating with the nursing team and other departments, and promptly responding to call lights and resident cues. A current CNA certification is required to maintain standards. This position is based in Mississippi with on-site duties.

Qualifications

• Must have and maintain current Nurse Aide Certification (CNA) in good standing with MS Department of Health.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct care to long-term care residents, focusing on Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) and resident well-being.
• Assists with new admits, transfers and discharges.
• Communicates with Nursing Department and other departments to meet residents' needs.
• Responds promptly to residents' call lights and safety concerns.
• Recognizes and responds to verbal and non-verbal cues from residents.

Job Summary:

• Provides care and explanation to the Residents according to the Activities of Daily Living (ADL’s) Care Plan
• Assists with new admits, transfers and discharges
• Communicates with Nursing Department co-workers and other Departments to meet needs of Residents
• Answers Residents’ Call Lights promptly
• Recognizes and responds to verbal and non-verbal communication from Residents
