Job summary

Ivy-Creek-Wellness- is seeking a Nursing Assistant to provide basic nursing care to residents under supervision. You will participate in shift handoffs, assist with bathing, grooming, hygiene, and use of adaptive equipment, and ensure residents remain clean and comfortable.

Successful completion of State Approved Nurse Aide Training and Competency Evaluation Program and being listed on the State Registry as Nurse Aide in good standing are required.

Qualifications

• State Approved Nurse Aide Training and Competency Evaluation Program completed; Name must appear on State Registry as Nurse Aide in good standing.
• Ability to communicate with residents and nursing staff; Must be able to read and write.

Responsibilities

• Participate in and receive nursing report on reporting for duty.

• Explain procedures to residents before administering.
• Keep residents dry and manage changes of gown/linen when wet or soiled.
• Change bed linens and keep them tight to avoid wrinkles.

Job description

Objective

Provides basic nursing care to residents within the scope of the nursing assistant responsibilities and performs basic nursing procedures under the direction of the licensed nurse supervisor.

Principal Responsibilities

• Participates in and receives nursing report upon reporting for duty
• Assists residents with resident care including bathing, grooming, hygiene and placement of adaptive equipment
• Explains procedures to residents before administering
• Keeps residents dry (changes gown, clothing, linen, etc., when it becomes wet or soiled)
• Changes bed linens and keeps linens tight to avoid wrinkles from forming under residents
• Makes beds (occupied and unoccupied)

Qualifications

• Successful completion of State Approved Nurse Aide Training and Competency Evaluation Program; Name must appear on State Registry as Nurse Aide in good standing; Ability to communicate with residents and nursing staff; Must have the ability to read and write.
• Prior experience as Nurse Aide preferred but not required
