Job summary

OPCO Skilled Management seeks a Nursing Assistant to provide basic nursing care to residents under the direction of licensed nurses. You will participate in shift handoffs and support daily routines, including bathing, grooming, and comfortable positioning of residents.

The role requires completion of state-approved Nurse Aide training and an active Nurse Aide registry listing, with strong communication skills and ability to read and write. Prior experience is preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• State Registry in good standing as Nurse Aide.
• Successful completion of State Approved Nurse Aide Training.
• Ability to communicate with residents and nursing staff; reading and writing.

Responsibilities

• Participates in and receives nursing report upon reporting for duty.
• Assists residents with resident care including bathing, grooming, hygiene and placement of adaptive equipment.
• Explains procedures to residents before administering.
• Keeps residents dry (changes gown, clothing, linen, etc., when it becomes wet or soiled).
• Changes bed linens and keeps linens tight to avoid wrinkles from forming under residents.
• Makes beds (occupied and unoccupied).
