The role emphasizes accurate med administration, error reporting, and collaboration with the care team to support residents across rehabilitation, assisted living, memory care, and skilled nursing services.

Qualifications

• Must have high school education or equivalent.
• Licensed medication tech with state-approved training and exam.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to communicate in an interdisciplinary care setting with residents, families, and staff.

Responsibilities

• Follow the facility's policies for administering medications.
• Note and report medication errors.
• Help develop procedures to prevent medication errors.
• Complete forms, charts, and reports as required.
• Document drug receipt errors with an observer/witness.
• Accurately measure and report residents' vital signs.
• Notify supervisors of any errors or reactions to medications.
• Record medication orders in the resident’s clinical record.
