Job summary

Belmont Village Senior Living is seeking a Medication Technician to assist residents in our Assisted Living and Memory Care community with daily medications, monitor responses, and maintain accurate electronic medical records under the supervision of a licensed Nurse.

This full-time role requires Tennessee Medication Technician Certification and weekend availability, with a schedule that includes every other weekend and two weekdays.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 6 months experience as a Caregiver in a licensed community or facility.
• C.N.A. License in states where required.
• Current Medication Technician or Aide Certification in states where required.
• Must be able to communicate clearly in verbal and written English.
• Intermediate computer and mobile device skills.
• Professional, pleasant and team oriented attitude.
• Consistent and reliable attendance is essential for all Belmont Village employees to ensure the successful operation of the community.

Responsibilities

• Administer Medications and Provide Personal Care: Follow physician’s orders and community guidelines for administering routine medications and providing assistance with ADL care as needed
• Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate medical records and report any reactions or medication refusals to the licensed nurse.
• Vital Sign Monitoring: Take resident vital signs and observe any responses or side effects.
• Shift Communication: Attend shift meetings and update nursing staff on resident conditions.
• Customer Satisfaction: Work collaboratively with a team to ensure the highest quality care and services are provided resulting in overall customer satisfaction
• Safety and Compliance: Adhere to all resident rights, state, and federal regulations, including infection control, fire safety, and hazardous materials guidelines.
