StoneBridge Senior Living in Maryland Heights, MO, is seeking a Certified Medication Technician to assist in administering medications as ordered by physicians under supervision. The role emphasizes accurate documentation, error reporting, and collaboration with nursing leadership.

The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent and a state-approved Medication Technician training program with successful certification.

Qualifications

• Must possess a high school education or its equivalent.
• Must be a licensed medication tech having completed a state‑approved training program and any required examination(s).
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Must express self clearly in written and oral communication in an interdisciplinary care setting.

Responsibilities

• Follow the facility's policies and procedures governing medication administration to residents.
• Note and report any errors in medication administration.
• Assist in developing and implementing procedures to identify and prevent medication errors.
• Complete required forms, charts, and reports and submit as required.
• Ensure documentation of drug receipt error includes a written error report with observer signature.
• Accurately measure, record, and report residents' vital signs.
• Promptly notify the Charge Nurse, Nurse Supervisor, or Director of Nursing Services of errors or adverse reactions.
• Follow medication card practices and facility procedures for recording orders in the resident's chart (type, route, dosage, frequency, strength).
