Qualifications

• Must have high school education or equivalent.
• Licensed Medication Tech with state-approved training and exam.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Follow facility policies for administering medications to residents.
• Note and report any medication errors.
• Help develop procedures to prevent medication errors.
• Complete required forms, charts, and reports.
• Ensure documentation of medication receipt errors with reports.
• Measure, record, and report residents' vital signs.
• Notify Charge Nurse or Director of Nursing Services of errors or adverse reactions.
• Record orders in residents' clinical records clearly including dosage and route.
