Bridgeport Healthcare Center, a member of the CommuniCare Family of Companies, is recruiting for a Certified Medication Technician (CMT) to join our team. The CMA will administer medications per physician orders and ensure high-quality resident care while maintaining accurate documentation.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED and completion of a Nurse Aide Training Program; basic math skills and the ability to work well with residents, families, and staff are essential.

• Understanding of medication administration procedures
• Ability to perform basic math
• Ability to relate information concerning a resident’s condition
• Ability to work harmoniously with staff and residents

Mansioni

• Set up and administer medication in accordance with physician’s orders and state/federal regulations.
• Display knowledge of side effects and nursing implications of common medications.
• Chart routine medications and documentation of PRN meds and observations.
• Maintain inventory of medications.
• Provide personal care and treatment as needed.
• Create a clean, safe environment and meet residents’ needs.
