Job summary

Centurion Health is seeking a per diem Certified Medication Technician to join the Idaho Maximum Security Institution in Kuna/South Boise. You will assist nurses by administering medications, documenting dosages and times, and monitoring patient conditions under supervision.

Requirements include high school diploma or GED, Medical Aide certification (or ability to obtain), TB documentation, CPR/AED, and a background check. Prior acute care, emergency, or correctional experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Certified Medication Technician (CMT) works under the direction of a Registered Nurse and/or other medical staff and is responsible for administering medications and documenting drug dosages and times of administration.
• The CMT takes vital signs, assists in examinations and treatments, and assists patients with activities of daily living.
• The CMT must monitor patients to report changes in their conditions.
• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Medical Aide certification (or ability to obtain) with approval for medication administration is required.
• Must maintain current tuberculosis documentation and active CPR/AED certification.
• Must be able to pass a background investigation and obtain agency security clearance where applicable.
• One year of experience in acute care, emergency or correctional settings preferred.
