Job summary

Centurion Health is seeking a per diem Certified Medication Technician to join Idaho State Correctional Institution in Kuna, ID. The CMT works under a RN and assists with medication administration, vital signs, exams and daily living activities.

Qualifications include high school diploma or GED, Medical Aide certification (or ability to obtain), TB documentation and CPR/AED certification. Prior acute care or correctional experience is preferred; background check required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Medical Aide certification (or ability to obtain) with approval for medication administration required.
• Must maintain current tuberculosis documentation and active CPR/AED certification.
• Background investigation and agency security clearance where applicable.
• One year experience in acute care, emergency or correctional setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist nurses by following written/oral instructions to administer medications and document dosages and times.
• Take vital signs and assist in examinations and treatments.
• Assist patients with activities of daily living.
• Monitor patients and report changes in condition.

We are currently seeking a per diem Certified Medication Technician to join our team at Idaho State Correctional Institution located in South Boise/Kuna, Idaho.

The Certified Medication Technician (CMT) works under the direction of a Registered Nurse and/or other medical staff and is responsible for assisting nurses by following written and/or oral instructions to administer medications and document drug dosages and times of administration. The CMT takes vital signs, assists in examinations and treatments, and assists patients with activities of daily living. The CMT must monitor patients to report changes in their conditions.
